Japan

Japan is a unique country in the World that transmits sensations that no other destination transmits, in 40 years of traveling around the world no country has ever made me feel like I’m in another world like Japan, on a motorbike, and it’s not for the language because I have visited countries with different languages and spellings and it is precisely the feeling and this atmosphere that is always silent, muffled, never noisy or even noisy that we are used to, especially in Italy !. This way of living without ever running and respecting all the rules without exception where the sign warning of road works is a little man apologizing, a country where driving a motorbike on a country road, without traffic passes 30 km behind a truck traveling at 50km/h because there is a continuous line!

At this point, you may ask yourself, why go to Japan on a motorbike? On the first trip made in 2009, as time passed we realized how involved we were in everything, landscapes, people, streets not to mention the food, real Japanese food which was sometimes inedible due to the flavors being totally different from ours and sometimes more similar to what we know of Japanese cuisine in Europe but always new and intriguing.

Hotels are a different matter: you enter the room and wonder where the mattress is! The room is generally very basic with a small wardrobe and a bamboo carpet, the tatami, on which the mattress is placed while you go to dinner. The bathroom is a separate matter, always all electric, you practically don’t touch anything and, needless to say, everything is super clean. Some hotels we use are built in spa areas with water flowing inside the hotel, or are inside a Shinto temple with monks who perform their functions in the morning.

In short, at the end of the 2009 trip, after having lost at least 2 kg in 2 weeks simply due to the lack of pasta and bread, replaced by rice, we wanted to return home but we began to think about the experience we had and slowly road the desire to return and here we are proposing it again, with some variations compared to the trip already done but maintaining the same criteria for all services. It goes without saying that the bikes are perfect and practically new, at most in their second season. Motorbike and van guides are provided for the transport of luggage

A journey during which, for us who come from Europe, the connections with the life we live every day are completely disconnected to immerse ourselves in a completely new dimension, strange at first, then even more so!
